Direct flights Dubai – Montenegro
The direct flights between Montenegro and Dubai will start in the first half of the next year – this decision was approved on the meeting of the Montenegrin Minister of Tourism Mr. Gvozenović and the Executive Director of the low-cost airline company FlyDubai Mr. Gait Al Gaita.
FlyDubai currently performed more than 1 400 flights per week, with over 500 pilots and thousands of crew members, carrying thousands of passengers to 99 destinations. The company was founded in March 2008 by the government of Dubai. Fly Dubai is named the best low-cost airline in the Middle East in 2015.
Njegusi – the heart of Montenegro
Having the altitude of around 900 m above the sea, Njegusi is the true air spa where the two climates intersect. It is almost untouched virgin area without any industry.
A special attraction is the old road from Kotor to village Njegusi, famous Lovćens serpentines, which consists of 25 turns and 25 km of the road.
Njegusi are particularly attractive in summer when the temperatures are much lower than on the coast. This is one of the most beautiful vantage points from which one can have a view of the Montenegrin coast and – if the weather permits – even the coast of Italy.
In Njegusi you can try the famous Njegus smoked ham – pršut, the cheese (which entered the German anthology of the world cheese in XVII century) and the honey. You could also visit the birthplace of Petar II Petrović Njegoš, where the recollections about this remarkable man, who was enlisted in the very top of world literature because of his poem “Mountain wreath”, are being kept.

Our Lady of the Rocks
Our Lady of the Rocks (Croatian: Gospa od Škrpjela pronounced [ɡɔ̌ːspa ɔd ʃkř̩pjɛla]) is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in Bay of Kotor, Montenegro (the other one is Sveti Đorđe Island). It is an artificial island created by bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks (Italian: Chiesa della Madonna dello Scarpello) is the largest building on the islet; it has a museum attached. There is also a small gift shop close to the church and a navigation light at the western end of the islet.
According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea. The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays. Every year on the sunset of July 22, an event called Fašinada in the local dialect, when local residents take their boats and throw rocks into the sea, widening the surface of the island, takes place.
Only stars are higher!
Lovcen is a visit card of Montenegro! The mountain has a rocky slope with lots of cracks, pits and deepings giving it a very specific look. Located on the border of two different climates: sea and mountain, Lovcen is influenced by both of them.
